Disorder of life ☄️
The second law of thermodynamics states:
That the total entropy (degree of disorder) of an isolated system can never decrease over time and is constant if and only if all processes are reversible.
All things tend to go to disorder. I bet that you experienced state when energy disperse and everything dissolves into (mindless) chaos.
You stop cleaning your house it becomes cluttered. Just leave a dirty cup on the nightstand or empty bottle on the shelf and once a tidy house turns in chaos. There is an infinite number of states where your home is in disorder and only one state where everything is in order.
You stop caring about your relationship it comes to end. Stop caring about your mental state and your mind becomes chaos.
Once again there is an infinite number of ways to be miserable. But only a few to feel happy. Some people even say that all happy people are happy in the same way but they are unhappy for their own reasons.
Let's say you start a company and hire people. You leave and you come back after a few months. If your company is thriving you won a jackpot.
Once again only a few ways to succeed. Million ways to fail.
You can't zoom out and expect things to be the same as they were. Leave an empty room for a month and everything will be covered in dust.
We can't blame ourselves for complications in our life. All nature act against us. A happy life is carefully designed, not discovered. And you need a lot of energy to put it in order.
Before every experiment you carefully plan everything, you read books and articles, you do the math, you check it twice. And if you're done everything right you succeed.
The next day you do the same. And the day after. You're repeating the same procedure over and over. And you failing every time.
If something happened once it doesn't mean it will happen every time.
Hip hip hurrays for the randomness and flukes in our universe.
Same with life there are a lot of opportunities that might present itself just one time in your life. Pursue it and take advantage of it. Because the fluke might not happen again.
Imagine a world where your ability to get a job or seek an education depends on a blood test.
Immunity passports might be big a threat for our freedom.
Is the world going backwards? What’s your opinion?
‘It has happened before. For most of the nineteenth century, immunity to yellow fever divided people in New Orleans, Louisiana, between the ‘acclimated’ who had survived yellow fever and the ‘unacclimated’, who had not had the disease. Lack of immunity dictated whom people could marry, where they could work, and, for those forced into slavery, how much they were worth. Presumed immunity concentrated political and economic power in the hands of the wealthy elite, and was weaponized to justify white supremacy.’
