I just got a sudden depression/anxiety attack recently, to point it got me thinking to myself: "why am I limiting myself for family?". That very question sparks my whole identity, as a son, a brother, and the boy who dreams big, but have to keep low profile. My question to you: what made you feel you are free from shackles of family? How, and why?

Martynas LapėTech, investing and being a generalist - hit me up!
I wouldn't say I was shackled to family, but I realized that I need to focus on myself before I can help my family. Realized I was over-protected by my loved ones. With that said, I left for a foreign country. Got a degree, job and had my eyes widened by dealing with problems family members don't fully understand due to distance, cultural differences of the local culture. Parents realized they can't protect their kids by pointing towards a risk averse life trajectory but they can listen, try to understand and learn. That's when I realized I'm capable more than I had known, and learned that, instead of protective guidance, I will always have my family support

I think a lot of freedom I gained when I realised that I don’t have obligations to other people to do anything. I make decisions for myself and if they don’t like it, it’s their problem, not mine. keep remembering - “I don’t have to do anything for others”

Pavel ŽahourekMotivational speaker, tutor,
As a disabled man I have overprotective parents . They wanted me to go to a certain school and become a lawyer. But what helped me to feel the freedom that I can do what I am passionate about was the fact that I moved away from my parents house. They may be disappointed because I do not do what they wanted. I do not live to fulfil their dreams. My goal in life is to help people reach their dreams. Motivate them to see their potential. I love my parents for all that they have done for me. I live my life and do what makes me happy. At the end of the day there will always be people who will not agree with you. If you listen to those voices you end up doing nothing you really love. Surround yourself with people who support you on the path that you chose for yourself.

I think how we communicate is deeply important. Family can be a source of refuge, salvation, trust, strength, love.. if you’re lucky. It’s not what we say, but how we say it. Perhaps you could express your feelings of wanting to pursue your dreams and feeling trapped by family, explaining that they need not worry about losing you but surely they wouldn’t want you to miss living life to your full potential? That you’d like to loosen the ties rather than cut them?:) You have nothing to lose by trying to share these feelings with them, just remember it’s how you say it - and then give them some time to process it. You might be surprised. ♥️

Two-spotted spider mite This mite is very common, they can infest any kind of plant, including your indoor plants. They actually form a web, which looks quite frightening. But again, you should NOT start with chemicals! These webs are the mite's comfy places, they provide the humid microclimate what they desperately need, and they are also fond of darkness. So go ahead, remove the web, and let the sun shine in! You can get rid of these mites in no time. To prevent their return, spray on some product with paraffin oil! Plant protection does not only mean chemicals! Use with responsibility!

After keeping publishers in the dark for some time, Apple has finally announced that the IDFA changes will be live very soon. It's interesting to see how this differs from the cookie tracking restrictions on the web - while the latter created the chance for new tracking companies to emerge and offer their innovative technologies, Apple fully blocks any other player in the game. This tech giant already has an Apple Advertising part which delivers targeted ads across App Store, App News and Stocks, but could it become a stepping stone for something bigger? Very likely. Facebook, Google and Amazon already have strong advertising networks and Apple shouldn't like to be an outsider. Of course, it's just personal speculation of mine, but I believe that we are going to see some crucial shifts in this industry. What do you think?

My opinion: Apple pushing itself as a privacy first company is a brilliant strategy against their main competitor - Google. About 70% of Googles revenue is from advertising. All of their products (from software, to hardware) are there to help expand this revenue further Instead of going toe to toe on advertising and doubling down on privacy features Apple is creating value that its competitors cant really provide.
