UX Designer at Tesonet / Mentor at Bit&Byte
Vilnius, Lithuania
The world is full of humans who experiment with careers in their twenties. What if you are a decade older, already have an established career elsewhere and financial obligations? That’s a question that kept me awake when I decided to make a 180 degree career turn at the age of 31. I leaped from Senior Project Manager’s role in a consulting agency to Design Intern, to Junior UX Designer, to UX Designer in one year. It was a year full of learning, forgotten birthdays, lost income, raised eyebrows in family gatherings, and equally - a year full of joy. Two years later I can finally tell, it was the right call to make.
