Are you the one in control? Is it the office? Is it the motivation? Is it the general mood? Is it clients service? Is it proceeding? Is it logistics? What is it? And after: ‘If we did this, what would happen?’” Bringing all the team together, mixing them with new professionals from outside, asking to imagine a completely different alternative can lead to truly original insights. In these ways INNOVATION MANAGER will find the ANSWERS together with the team and will develop the creative spark in everyone. The best historical example is the “Medici effect,” referring to the creative explosion in Florence when the Medici family as “INNOVATION MANAGER” of that time brought together people from a wide range of disciplines—sculptors, scientists, poets, philosophers, painters, and architects. Here are some lesser known gems: The Contortionist's Handbook - Craig Clevenger - interesting look at mental health issues through a prism of mystery (fans of early works of Chuck Palahniuk will enjoy for sure). Savage Girl - Alex Shakar - good example of postirony, candid and entertaining look at modern cool-hunters, marketing/pr influencers (coined the fascinsting concept of 'paradessence'). Decades ahead of its time. Microserfs - Douglas Copeland - humorous, satiric, insightful look into the minds and lives of developers - the modern tech serfs toiling on their digital fields (while secretly building their passion projects at night). Again - decades ahead of its time.
