After finishing high school, I flew overseas to play basketball at Barton's College, NCAA in North Carolina. During my 4 years at college, I became a member of 2 different teams and eventually signed with Panionios Athens where I officially started my professional career. After that I played in 6 other clubs ranging all over the world - from Italy to Latvia and Spain, whilst eventually landing right back where I've started from - Lithuania. After signing with Lietuvos Rytas back in 2014, I've became the captain and the most efficient player of the team for two and a half years. Currently, I'm doing my best and aiming to score one victory after another to make my countrymen proud with Žalgiris.
Whether it's eating oatmeal porridge at Christmas whilst everyone is fully enjoying their rich celebratory dinner or waking up extra early to start an intensive day of training - when you're in basketball professionally, you have to make sacrifices and keep your routine somewhat rigid. Let's talk about the importance of discipline and the upgrade it brings to your life in the long term.
From kickstarting my career straight after high school to returning to Lithuania to play after 11 years abroad - I will gladly share this experience of mine.
