THE book I would recommend to absolutely everyone at any stage of your life! Shirzam Chamine, the author of ‘Positive Intelligence’, talks about 10 different mental Saboteurs which we develop early in childhood to survive the perceived threats of life. By the time we are adults, we no longer need those Saboteurs, but they have become invisible inhabitants of our minds, causing harm to achieve our true potential. So how to fight those Saboteurs? The answer is always the same - by activating your Sage powers: - Empathy - Exploration - Innovation - Navigation - Decisive action What was your favorite summer read?

Thanks, my favorite summer read was " Dale Carnegie - how to overcome stress.. " the title is way to cheesy for the content. The real reason why you should never judge a book by its cover. To me it was and it is still a Life diary where I can find help in the low times

Regularly I get questions from men why I support women empowerment initiatives and even more interestingly, what is going to happen with men if women fill more senior roles. I need to admit that I understand that for most men it is hard to realize what their female colleagues experience at workplaces, so I don’t judge their questions and comments. But what I would like to encourage male professionals to do is getting yourself more familiar with issues faced by women. Initiate a dialogue and ask them to share their experiences. This is the way to get more empathetic. On the other side, female professionals should be more brave in telling their stories about micro aggressions. A good and easy start towards empathy is reading this article which tells a story of a female lone coder. https://www.fastcompany.com/3008216/the-loneliness-of-the-female-coder

I like people who can 'walk their talk.' Instead of giving advices, they show you how it's done by themselves. This makes it so authentic! When I think of such a person in the area of women empowerment, I immediately say - Mira Vasic from InTouch! So, it is a big pleasure to share with you a new guest blog post written by Mira. She shares with us her touching story on how Mira has tackled various obstacles while pursuing her dreams. I find this article so inspiring and motivating! Feel free to get in touch with Mira if you need career advice and follow her purposeful work - helping women to get more influence on their own career and on the world. https://nainyte.com/3-steps-for-surviving-your-imaginary-obstacles/

Happy international #womenday! As a Lithuanian 🇱🇹 woman working in The Netherlands 🇳🇱 for a great technology company Schuberg Philis, I feel extremely privileged. I grew up with loving parents, never needed to worry about access to safe drinking water 💦 , electricity ⚡️, high quality education, warm house 🏠 and stable income 💰. Yes! I do sometimes feel disadvantaged working in a masculine business world, but I find it too minor to talk about it today. Instead I like to focus my effort to help truly disadvantaged single mothers in rural Uganda 🇺🇬 by working together with Integrated Villages NGO. After I volunteered there in 2019, I could not resist in creating an opportunity for women to earn extra income. If you too would like to contribute in funding entrepreneurship of women in rural Uganda, you can do so in a very simple way! Instead of giving a donation, you can purchase one of their products - 'bracelet with a story'. https://nainyte.com/bracelets-with-a-story/
