The corporate business world can not be imagined without MEETINGS! They've become such an integral part of our work, that there's plenty of us working in an office environment that have multiple of them on a daily basis. While meetings at work make sense a lot of times, often they are not challenged, turning them into barriers to actually achieve desired business results and engaged employees. Creating a purposeful meeting is not "rocket science" if you utilise some simple, yet effective tips and tricks, which I shared in my blog post. What are your best practices from organising or attending effective meetings? https://nainyte.com/2020/leadership/meetings-they-dont-need-to-be-dreadful-if-you-follow-these-tips-tricks/

Running business meetings. It sounds like a basic skill, yet so many companies and teams are struggling to do it effectively. The inspiring Elon Musk has recently shared his tips: 1️⃣ No large meetings. A rule of thumb - no more than 4 - 6 people. Before sending an invite, always think how each person will add value. 2️⃣ Leave if you feel you do not add value. It is important to build an acceptance of this behavior in your company/ team culture. 3️⃣ No frequent meetings. Often we forget to cancel reoccurring meetings which were originally created to solve an urgent problem. While I find these rules very useful, I question 3️⃣. I think it’s especially important for every leader to have standard reoccurring 1:1 meetings with each team member. There are many employees who need that special time to express their concerns. What are your tips to run effective meetings? https://www.inc.com/justin-bariso/elon-musk-knows-how-to-run-a-meeting-heres-how-he-does-it.html?cid=sf01003

What a creative weekend! I started it by watching the documentary “The Creative Brain 🧠” on Netflix which inspired me to get out of my regular bubble and get some inspiration! So I visited an exhibition in Rotterdam Kunsthal 🖼 currently featuring Thierry Mugler avant-garde work. Wow!!! What imagination and creativity of the French master! As mentioned in the documentary, creativity is not about reinventing from scratch, but rather being able to get ideas from one area and refashion it somewhere else. Thierry Mugler does exactly this! You can clearly see that his masterpiece ideas were coming from nature, mythology, comic books or simply every day life, such as cars! I believe that every person can be creative! The trick here is to force yourself to get out of your comfort zone, explore new places, meet different people and dare to be different. What are your favorite creative masters and how do you foster your own creativity?

Yes to that. I recently started doing embroidery and it has made me connect with a creative side I didn't even know I had. A definite step outside my comfort zone, but I'm so glad I did.
