I am art historian, curator and founder of The Rooster Gallery that represents the youngest generation of Lithuanian artists. The experience accumulated in working exclusively with emerging artists allows to promote the career of the represented artists since the early stages. The gallery’s dynamic international activity and wide network has contributed to the international recognition of several Lithuanian painters (Kristina Ališauskaitė, Tomas Daukša, Eglė Karpavičiūtė, Andrius Zakarauskas). Due to its consistent activity the gallery has grown into one of the most active players on the Lithuanian art scene and market, and has earned itself a reputation of a dynamic, professional and solicitous gallery. The Rooster Gallery takes part at major art fairs such as ViennaContemporary, ArtDubai, Artissima.
I have written and published two novels: Neišsipildymas and Stasys Šaltoka: Vieneri Metai which is translated into English under the title Cold East.
Two years ago me and Justas Janauskas came up with the idea for online community which later turned into Qoorio.

I believe that every one of us has a story to tell. The only problem is that not everyone knows how to do it. Gladly, I was fortunate to find the art of painting in my life, which allows me to express myself and convey the most important messages and ideas through consciousness-based creation.
Fine Arts MFA in Vilnius Academy of Arts, work in co-founded artist run-space with events, social media management for gallery THE ROOM and work in the newest Loving Vincent movie creators Breakthru Films in painted animation, restoring mural paintings at UAB Paveldo Sprendimai gave me diverse experience in art projects.
In 2018 I published a book 'Do We Need to Be Healed? Wellness Ideologies in Culture' where I researched artist communities in the 20th century comparing it with how wellness is perceived nowadays. Since then I continue to explore, research and understand what does being healthy mean or how do people take care of their bodies in the 21st century.
I am very passionate about birds and I am a beginner bird watcher. I see a lot of similarities between birds and human beings.
Being a performance artist and a dancer makes me pay a lot of attention to my body and the many possible ways of training it. I give workshops and classes quite often and I am also taking part in various workshops, trainings and courses to keep exploring new ways of training and using one's body.
ARCHITECTURE AND CHOREOGRAPHY
I do see these two disciplines hand in hand: starting from the architecture of the body, the macro constructions of our cells and body parts, and then seeing how the architecture of a room, building or a city influences the way our bodies move in space, and how it creates the choreography of our bodies.
SOUND AND RHYTHM
I play cello for already 16 years, and I am very interested in the effect that sound has on us. Meditative, healing sounds, artificial and naturally produced, noise and silence, etc. - how all of these affect the way we feel, think or express ourselves. One of my favorite texts is 'Rhythmanalyst' by Henri Lefebvre which inspires me everytime I work with sound, choreography and rhythm.
Making and sharing a good meal with a company of friends is something that I love and try to do as often as I can. I love being a host and planning a very special 5 (or more) course dinner for my special friends. My kitchen shelves are full of cookbooks and trying a new recipe is something that makes my day complete.
I am here to share my knowledge and passion for mural art and build new connections.
About 7 years ago I started taking pictures of street art in Vilnius and collect the photos. Now I put all my urban art discoveries in social media platforms.
I combine my interest in street art with my work experience as a communication specialist and content writer. Currently, I am publishing a magazine about street art. It's called Gatves meno galerija. I'm willing to build a team for the magazine. So if you are interested, contact me.
Having acquired a qualification of Economist and Lecturer in Political Economy back in the 80’s (in addition to a PhD in social science), I’ve started lecturing and writing columns for the biggest national newspaper „Lietuvos rytas“. Since then, I’ve continued working in journalism, as well as spent more than a decade brushing up my economic knowledge in the world of academia, in addition to spending a couple of years in the banking industry. In 2015 I was elected to the Vilnius City Council, which has led to yet another election, this time in a Parliament, after which I became a single-member district constituency of Žirmūnai.
Having graduated with a Master’s degree in Cultural Anthropology, I went on to pursue my dream career in publishing.
After working at a leading Lithuanian publishing house „baltos lankos” for a few years, I sensed a lack of a more artful and creative approach to book publishing in the market, thus I eventually decided to establish my very own brainchild - „LAPAS”, where form and fuction are treated with an equal importance.
